The Standard Municipal Library in partnership with the Trellis Society is offering a Home Alone Program on July 6, from 9:00 – 12:00 pm. The home alone program is designed to provide children ages 10 and up the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. The program will assist in preparing children to understand and how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations and keep them safe and constructively occupied. The course materials will cover topics such as: routines, strangers, emergencies, basic first aid, and internet/telephone safety. Christensen Clover Farms will be providing lunch for the participants. This is a free program.
